Advent is a season of signs…

…and those signs say something to us.  Since the greatness of God took on the smallness of creation with Christ in a manger, this season reminds us to look out:  Look out for the great in the small; see the significant in the simple.  If we believe that God can be found in a manger, then it stands to reason that the Lord awaits us in the mundane. 

The signs are everywhere:  Crucial, yet significant signs.  They’re visible, but are we vigilant?  Join Rev. Jake Steele and CUMC on this first Sunday in Advent as they sojourn with the Magi of Matthew to seek out a sign that everyone saw but few really interpreted.  Where are the signs God is using to reach you that you may be overlooking? May the Lord richly bless you in your hearing and receiving.
