(Thanks for being patient while we navigated a very busy Christmas schedule. We’re now back on track with sermon audio uploads!)
Carpenters are careful, they’re crafty and measured. Rarely do they build without seeing a clear blueprint.
It’s this very reason that makes the story of Joseph so fascinating. Joseph isn’t recorded as one who says much in the birth narrative of Jesus and yet his significance cannot be overlooked. Tracking the life of this lowly carpenter poses an important question for us: How does your faith respond when things don’t go as planned?
In the third week of this sermon series, we’ll learn that there is more carpenter in us than we care to admit. Join Rev. Jake Steele and CUMC as they move closer to the birth of the Christ child! May you be richly blessed in the hearing and receiving of this word!
Matthew 1: 18-25
