“And the sun rose upon Jacob as he passed Penuel, limping because of his hip.”

Jacob, the trickster, the scam artist, the deceiver had an encounter with God.  Of all people.  If left to speculation or assumption, the skeptic would have a hard time believing the likes of Jacob could change.  But, alas, an authentic encounter with God changed the way that he walked…and people took notice.

The steps of those who say they know the Lord should speak of the same thing.

We glean lessons from Jacob’s limp.  Find out what they are as Rev. Jake Steele and CUMC receive a word from the 32nd chapter of Genesis.  May the Lord richly bless you in your hearing and receiving.  Allow this word to encourage you to limp.

Genesis 32: 22-31
