Yet…it’s just a small three-letter word but it holds a lot of weight. The word yet is a conjunction that takes two distinct ideas and unifies them to make them whole. During Lent, there is another small three-letter word that also holds a lot of weight: Ash. Ash is our Yet. Ash is our conjunction between our reality and those of the spiritual kind. Just as the word yet in a phrase acts as a bridge between two distinct ideas, ash acts as our bridge between us on earth and our Lord in heaven.
