Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

While COVID has made this year all the more unusual, the gift of Emmanuel and the power of Christmas is no less relevant.  Since in-person worship has been temporarily paused, Christ UMC has been creative in our attempt to provide the following livestream worship experiences:

4:00pm Family Service:

Tune in at this time and help us sing since this service will be packed primarily with familiar Christmas carols and conclude in candlelight as we close our time with “Silent Night.”

In between you’ll be given the invitation to “step inn!”  That’s right! You’ll meet Stuart, keeper of the Bethlehem Bed and Breakfast. The town is bustling with business and he’s met a couple—a man named, Joe and a young girl, Mary, who’s about to have a baby. He’s let them stay in his barn, thinking it’s no big deal. But the visitors who show up at Stuart’s doorstep are about to reveal just what a big deal it really is!  You don’t want to miss it!  The message will engage the kiddos and connect with adults too.

6:00pm & 8:00pm Traditional Services:

Help us celebrate the birth of our Savior and the Source of our hope. Hear the handbells as the ringers play; join us in reciting a Christmas liturgy; receive the Gospel as it is preached and sing with us in candlelight as we prepare Him room!  If you’re gathering with family on Christmas Eve, these two separate times will provide a wider window for us to turn our attention away from the material and towards what really matters.

It’s our hope and prayer that you’ll join us digitally at one or more of these services.  May the Lord richly bless you as we come together to adore Him, Christ who is the Lord.
