Hey kids!

Is there a favorite fruit you like to eat? Whatever it may be, bananas, berries, oranges or grapes, do you know where that fruit comes from? You’ve probably seen a bunch of fruit at the grocery store, but where does the store get them from? Fruit actually grows out of the earth from a vine. That vine then turns into a bigger vine called a branch and that branch then produces fruit. Isn’t that neat? The vine that starts the whole fruit growing process is like a lifeline for the fruit, and without it, there would be no fruit. Jesus once used a vine (a grape vine in particular) to describe his Father (God) and his disciples (followers). Watch the video below to learn more about the vine:

So what did we learn from this story? As long as we stay connected to Jesus, we will produce fruit; not the fruit we eat but the fruit that makes us good people. For today’s activity, we are going to color some grapes and write on the grapes all the things that make people good.

First, you’ll need to print this PDF file of the grapes here: Grapes

Once you’ve printed the grapes, color the page to your liking. Once you’re done coloring, start writing in words on the grapes that make people good. You can take some examples from the video like love, kindness, goodness and self-control.
