You’ve heard it said (especially in restaurants), “We’ll have what they’re having.”
In other words, “We want what they want. I’ll choose as preferable whatever someone else chooses as preferable because it seems appetizing.” While that may work with food, it’s a slippery slope when it comes to things of faith. With the eyes of comparison, it’s easy to paint God into a corner and demand that the Lord work as other gods in order to have what they’re having.
