It’s not that we’re not called to carry anything…
…it’s just that we must be very judicious about the things we carry…and for how long. Of all figures of faith, Judas teaches us such lessons. Indeed, Judas Iscariot was not only included as part of the original twelve, but he was assigned a particular role as the keeper of the common purse. Not only was he the carrier of the coins, it seems he was the carrier of something else that ultimately crippled him.
