CUMC Family and Friends,

Pastor Jake will be participating in the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration and is inviting all to attend!

On Sunday, January 16, the March will begin at 2 p.m. at the top of Wheeling Hill in the parking lot of the “Windmill” location. From there we will proceed down Martin Luther King Boulevard to the bottom of the hill where we will gather at 4th Street United Methodist Church for an interfaith worship service which will begin at 3 p.m. Senator Owens Brown will be the featured speaker at the inter-faith service, and several area clergies will be reading scripture.

On Monday, January 17, at 9 a.m. at the Laughlin Chapel (129 18th Street), awards will be presented for the essay and short film state-wide MLK contests, and youth activities will be held. (Laughlin Chapel will not hold these events, however, if Ohio County Schools have gone to remote-only learning because of virus concerns).

We hope to see you all at the march, inter-faith service, and/or youth activities this Sunday and Monday!
