Hi Kids!

Last week, we discussed how God created people, but what about everything before people like the sky, land, water, and other living creatures? This is what we’re learning today. The Seven Days of Creation to be exact. You might have heard this story before, but can you remember what God created on each day? Watch the story below to learn more:

As you’ve seen from the story, God was quite creative. Each day God created, God proclaimed the creation good. God did not say, however, His creations were perfect, but good, meaning creation is an ongoing process. For this reason, God made people to be creative too. God wants us to stay in relationship with God, to be co-creators, and to care for all of God’s wonder-filled creation together. Everyone is born with an ability to be creative, even you! The more you practice your creativity, the more creative you’ll become.

There are two activities today to help us remember how God created the world and to practice our own creativity. The first activity is a puzzle to test your knowledge on what God created on certain days (more instructions are on the page). Download/print this page for the puzzle:

In practicing your creativity for the second activity, grab some paper, paint/markers/crayons, and take a step outside. Observe everything around you like the sky, trees, flowers, animals, etc. and draw what catches your eye the most. Now see how creative God and yourself truly are!
