Hi kids and welcome back!
Today we’re going to continue our story on Moses. Last week we heard the story of the birth of Moses. At that time, the pharaoh of Egypt didn’t like the Israelite people and ordered every boy born to be killed. Moses was an Israelite boy so he was never supposed to live, but God had other plans for him. Watch the story below to learn what God had in store for him:
Let’s go over some questions and answers for this story:
What was God’s plan for Moses?
- To free the Israelite people.
How did God help Moses do this?
- By sending 10 plagues on Egypt to warn the pharaoh of what will happen when you go against God.
What were the 10 plagues?
- Water turning to blood,
- frogs,
- lice,
- flies,
- livestock pestilence,
- boils,
- hail,
- locusts,
- darkness
- the killing of firstborn children.
As you saw in the video, it took the last plague to convince the pharaoh to let the Israelite people go. Why?
- The pharaoh’s child was killed which affected him personally.
Finally, what is the lesson about God from this story?
- To listen to God’s warnings and to obey His word. In doing so, you will be blessed by Him.
For today’s activity there is a fun coloring page on the 10 plagues. Print this pdf and color the page to your liking (some instructions are on the page, label each plague using the list above); The10Plagues
