Hey kids and welcome back!
Do you remember from last week we discussed the miracles Jesus had performed? One miracle in particular we covered is when Jesus fed over 5,000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish! Well, shortly after this moment, Jesus performed yet another miracle. Watch the story below to find out what He did:
So what did we learn from this story? As we’ve seen with Peter, he started to doubt and began to sink but Jesus was right there to save him. If you keep your faith in Jesus he will prevent you from sinking. So in short, always keep your eyes on Jesus.
For today’s activity, we are going to recreate Jesus walking on water. See instructions below:
You will need:
- Crayons/Markers
- Scissors
- Glue/Tape
- Popsicle stick
Instructions:
- Download and print the two PDF’s here, Disciples_Boat Jesus
- Color the disciples page and Jesus to your liking
- Cut out Jesus (you can leave some white space around Jesus)
- Glue or tape the popsicle stick to the back of Jesus
- On the disciples page, cut out a slit along the straight, horizontal line
- Insert the popsicle stick into the slit and slide Jesus back and forth
- Voila! You have Jesus “walking” on water
