Hey Kids and Welcome Back!

Today we are going to be learning about two very important things….honesty and trust. As you may already know, honesty is when you tell the truth or are being truthful (a.k.a. no telling lies). Trust is having faith in someone or something. Honesty and trust tend to go hand in hand for when you are honest, you build trust. For example, when mom or dad tells you they love you, you know they are being honest and are telling the truth therefore you trust them.

Is it possible to have trust without honesty? Not exactly. When you are not honest and tell lies you cannot be trusted which can hurt you in more ways than one. You’ll see an example of this in the short clip below where two people decided to not be honest and paid a dear price for it. Watch the video below to learn more:

As you now know, it is very important to always be honest with God, your family and friends, yourself and anyone else that you meet in your life. Being an honest person makes you a trustworthy person which will be good for you in many unexpected ways. Let’s do a fun activity to help you remember to always be honest.
